A report in Nature Neuroscience suggests that natural physical changes interfere with quality slumber, blunting the ability to remember new information for the long term.

If I could remember what the article said, I'd probably be impressed. Seriously, this is fairly obvious stuff except that they didn't do the right control, training a group of elderly until their pre-sleep performance was equal to the younger group. If the amount of slow-wave sleep is essential, then meditation and hypnosis may become at least paliative.

You be the Judge. Sleep deprivation does effect memory and physical ailment effects sleep so what are the answers? Delete the scoop?
