A commission appointed by the governor after the death of Michael Brown is calling for sweeping changes on matters of policing, the courts, education, health care, housing and more.
Kenneth Weene's insight:

Congratulations to Gov. Nixon for creating this commission and to the members of the commission for creating a meaningful report. Now, the big questions: Will the legislature of Missouri do anything to create real change? Kenneth Weene's insight:

I have no idea what attractions or businesses might exist in Ferguson, but I would not go near that damn town for anything. Indeed, I can only say I think that we should boycott Ferguson, Missouri. Indeed, we should treat its Black citizens who might wish as political refugees and offer them all possible assistance in moving out of that place of horrors. This is as much a disaster as any toxic; perhaps we should have FEMA involved along with the FBI. As for the police, perhaps they should be in Guantanamo; are they not the worst kind of terrorist?
