A series of Interactive stories that allow the reader to control the path the story takes. These stories are great for engaging reluctant readers as they are in control of the route the story takes. They can be used as simple digital stories or as exemplars at the start of a lesson that asks stiudents to create their own branching story. No comment yet.

I recently discovered Subtext, a free app for the iPad, that allows you collaboratively to annotate texts. I have been very impressed with it in the few days I've been playing with it and look forward to testing it out in the classroom. Via David Miller Delete the scoop?

This is an example of a teacher generated wall. Pupils can add to the wall at home or in school. When you set the wall up you can stipulate that you want to moderate the posts, so no one can add anything without you seeing it first. This extends learning beyond the classroom...you could set this for homework and then pupils could discuss which branch they think is the best story and a class generated final version could be created. The limited number of characters allowed for each post also means that pupils will need to select their words carefully. Delete the scoop?
