My students seem too shy to tackle this, even though our current unit is on men and women, dating and such.

 1 × Where did you born? √ Where were you born? The verb be born is passive, you must use it with the verb be.    2 ×  I am born in Madrid ×  I born in Madrid √ I was born in Madrid With born, we can ONLY use the past form was/were born.
