To Really Remember Something, Don't Take Pictures Of It | Seeking innovation and science | Scoop.it
It may seem counter-intuitive, especially in today's "take and share pictures of everything" society, but research published in the journal Psychological Science points out that if you really want to commit something to memory, you're better off looking and focusing on it—not taking a picture for later review.
Ike Cerrada's insight:

The Aha! Moment

We’ve all been there, that moment when we just can’t figure out a solution to a problem. But, out of nowhere you get that aha moment. When everything becomes crystal clear. For most, that aha moment is brought on by some sort of inconvenience. For example, the GoPro founder who struggled to take a picture of himself while surfing or the Ikea founder that could not fit a table in his small car, so he thought to take off the legs.

Ike Cerrada's insight:

Sometime in our lives we will arrive to knowledge, or stumble upon THE idea, or see the light, or find an insight, or whatever you want to call it. This infographic shows when and how that moment came for a bunch of successful people.
