You probably think that memory is the exact opposite of creativity. After all, the things you memorize already exist, they're not new. And creativity is all about a new idea that didn't exist before...

We have to move past the notion that there is ONE answer. Creativity is the cornerstone of innovation (which is our future). "One of these techniques is the habit of looking: being aware and mindful of what is happening around you. A second technique is making: putting your ideas out in the world, creating through drawing and building. A third technique is asking: Identifying good questions and formulating problems in productive ways." "Creative insights always come from combinations of existing mental material. New ideas don't just appear out of thin air; they build on existing ideas, concepts, and perceptions, that you've stored in your mind over the years." Delete the scoop?
