Efficacité énergétique et environnement : un programme de plus de 5 milliards de FCfa pour les entreprises sénégalaises

Le Bureau de mise à niveau (Bmn) du ministère du Commerce, de l’Industrie et de l’Artisanat exécute, depuis quelques temps, la deuxième phase de son programme d’activités. Pour l’heure, informe son directeur, Amadou Lamine Ndiaye, il est prévu la prise en charge de 200 entreprises sénégalaises dont 60 pour le volet dédié exclusivement à l’efficacité énergétique et à l’environnement. Il s’agira ainsi d’accompagner les entreprises (les PME notamment) à se mettre à jour dans le cadre des normes environnementales et énergétiques en vigueur à travers le monde.

En Colombie, Procellantas va procéder au recyclage de tous les composants de pneus usés par le biais d’un traitement thermique par micro-ondes afin d’éviter la fumée toxique qui émane des pneus lorsqu’on les brûle ainsi que la surcharge des décharges urbaines – qui constituent, tous deux, un problème environnemental croissant dans l’ensemble de la région.

“We talk with the bank or microfinance institution to encourage them to lend to the entrepreneurs,” said Collings, chief operations officer at Global Village Energy Partnership, a non-profit organisation that tries to harness entrepreneurship to open up energy for the poor. The main challenge is sourcing the start-up capital to purchase the solar panels. “Persuading banks and microfinancing institutions has not been an easy task for GVEP. Despite this challenge, there are steps ahead being made.” Hopefully, this and other organisations will make a visible change and the technology will spread around more as from the examples it is visible that it can become a running change in all Africa.
