#Innovation #Leadership #Innovación #Liderazgo: To Thrive in Chaos and Ambiguity

#Innovation #Leadership #Innovación #Liderazgo: To Thrive in Chaos and Ambiguity | Empresa 3.0 | Scoop.it

The Social Age is a time of constant change: an evolved landscape of work and play. The nature of work itself has changed and, alongside it, the social contract between organisation and individual. Our relationship with knowledge has evolved too: away from knowing stuff to creating meaning. The ability to find meaning in the moment and to do it again, tomorrow, differently. Which is what we call agility and uninhibited curiosity. The desire and freedom to question everything.

MyKLogica's insight:

#Innovation #Innovacion: A Word About Assumptions: Part One

#Innovation #Innovacion: A Word About Assumptions: Part One | Empresa 3.0 | Scoop.it

Reality is basically a series of assumptions we make about the world around us. Most of those assumptions are safe and sensible. Indeed, if you were to question every assumption all day long, you'd soon go mad. However, some assumptions are not reliable, either because they are based on misunderstandings or because the bases of those assumptions have changed. For instance..

MyKLogica's insight:

Innovation: Four Ways to Cultivate a Culture of Curiosity

Innovation: Four Ways to Cultivate a Culture of Curiosity | Empresa 3.0 | Scoop.it
Innovation lessons from a video game non-profit.

HopeLab is a curious place.

The California-based nonprofit researches and designs video games and other technology products for kids. But they don’t create ones that involve sitting on a couch, staring at a screen, zapping warriors or aliens. Instead, HopeLab’s games help motivate players to take on healthy habits, to be more physically active (Zamzee) and even help fight cancer (Re-Mission 2).

The organization, a client of The Bridgespan Group, encourages the same sort of exploratory attitude in its employees. So it operates a bit differently than most. There are fun internal tools designed to prompt conversation and reflection. Meetings are positioned as problem-solving opportunities. People always take responsibility for their own actions and mistakes. And employees are given financial and moral support to pursue any kind of learning, from a cooking class to a photography cruise.

“We look at our culture as a product, just like Re-Mission and Zamzee are products,” says Pat Christen, president and CEO of HopeLab. “And we believe a culture of curiosity is key to innovation.”

HopeLab’s methods are replicable. Just consider these few principles:

MyKLogica's insight:

#Innovacion #Innovation and the element of risk

#Innovacion #Innovation and the element of risk | Empresa 3.0 | Scoop.it

Organisations with a culture that encourages and rewards the drive towards innovation, and does not penalise failure resulting from controlled risk taking, are succeeding. Why? Because recognition of the role played by culture in driving success through innovation shifts the focus on people and human capital.

MyKLogica's insight:

Robert Bolton, Partner in KPMG’s HR Global Centre of Excellence.

#Business #Innovation: A job is just a role that cannot change

#Business #Innovation: A job is just a role that cannot change | Empresa 3.0 | Scoop.it

Social networks disrupt hierarchical structures. Web-based social networks accelerate the spread of new ideas and lay bare organizational flaws. Anyone in a position of power and authority is losing some of that due to the growing power of social networks – doctors, teachers, managers, politicians. Social networks speed access to knowledge and accelerate learning. They allow people to quickly make and change connections. Seb Paquet calls this “ridiculously easy group-forming”.

MyKLogica's insight:
