If the e-cig taxes were earmarked for anti-smoking programs, for instance, that might qualify as a legitimate public-health measure that deserves support.

States are considering placing the same tax on ecigs as regular tobacco products. However, I believe this is a poor choice, as ecigs deter kids away from regular cigarettes and also encourage smokers to quit. With a higher tax, less people would make the switch and ultimately harm America's health.

Spectators at a baseball game were reported for using ecigs in the stadium. However, a family with young boys expressed concerns that it would teach them that smoking is acceptable. I think this marks another milestone in public aversion to ecigs.

The FDA could be making big changes to the ecig industry. Currently it is unregulated, but this could change as a result of all the poisoning reports. I think this could mean the end for some ecigs, as they could be dangerous and appealing to children.

I believe that the FDA are doing the right thing. The fact that little children are getting their hands on e-cigarettes is absolutely horrifying. Teen smoking is bad enough as it is, but now that kids are starting to smoke at a younger age, the government needs to put tighter regulations on the e-cigarette industry.

Juice used to fill electronic cigarettes contains nicotine, which in high amounts in poisonous. As the devices grow in popularity, more and more people have been harmed by ingesting the liquid, raising new concerns about the safety of ecigs.
