UK Culture Minister Ed Vaizey recently announced that the UK Government will consider extending the Public Lending Right (PLR) programme to include e-books. Under the PLR legislation, authors of the e-books would have the right to receive payment for the loans of their books by public libraries. Delete the scoop?
