Check out this site the next time you need to find pictures for multi-media presentations. It only searches for images in the public domain (and that are Creative Common licensed). Please note that the photos at their website are free to use but they also provide access to photos from Fotolia which may require some payment. Delete the scoop?

Lots of people talk about how important it is to tell a story when trying to inform, entertain, persuade, or teach someone something; but they usually don't tell you how to do that. Or, if they try to tell you, they don't do it very well.
Dirksen is not one of those people. She explains very well and this slide deck is a terrific distillation of a great deal of wise information. This is really good!

Ha ha -- I love these 10 story tips for effective e-commerce! They hold true for any website, but if you've got an e-commerce site, the author Martin (Marty) Smith makes the link between storytelling and conversion to buyers. The 'Be Quiet' tip makes me smile. And his examples of 'About' pages are classics. So do yourself a favor and check out Smith's 10 tips. You can see how well you are doing, plan the tweaks you need to do, or decide on a major upgrade. Delete the scoop?
