Realizada ao longo de quatro anos, a pesquisa sobre educação e tecnologias inaugura a série “Estudos Setoriais” Durante quatro anos, o Comitê Gestor da Internet no Brasil (CGI.br), por meio do Centro Regional de Estudos para o Desenvolvimento da Sociedade da Informação (Cetic.br), do Núcleo de Informação e Coordenação do Ponto BR (NIC.br) acompanhou a adoção das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação (TIC) em 12 escolas públicas pelo país. A partir da observação de pesquisadores e de entrevistas com diretores, professores, alunos e outros atores da comunidade escolar, o estudo apresenta resultados inéditos a respeito da implementação de políticas educacionais, sobre as formas de uso das TIC na gestão escolar, nas práticas pedagógicas e, ainda, acerca das mudanças na rotina das instituições decorrentes do uso dessas tecnologias. O resultado desta investigação foi documentado no livro “Educação e tecnologias no Brasil: um estudo de caso longitudinal sobre o uso das Tecnologias de Informação e Comunicação em 12 escolas públicas”, que inaugura a série “Estudos Setoriais” do NIC.br e está disponível gratuitamente para download. Esta é a primeira publicação da coleção dedicada à discussão de temas emergentes acerca da interface entre as TIC e a sociedade. O estudo qualitativo sobre TIC na educação surgiu em 2010, em paralelo ao levantamento quantitativo realizado por meio da pesquisa anual TIC Educação, lançado anualmente desde então. “Trata-se de um olhar longitudinal e contextualizado, por meio do qual temos a oportunidade de aprofundar as informações reveladas pela pesquisa quantitativa. Em vez de um retrato do momento, o estudo traz um filme sobre o que acontece no ambiente escolar no que se refere ao uso da tecnologia”, explica Alexandre Barbosa, gerente do Cetic.br. “Nessa medida, a experiência concreta das doze escolas investigadas constitui-se em uma referência para se pensar situações vivenciadas em outros estabelecimentos de ensino de todo o País e para o aprimoramento das políticas públicas do setor”, complementa. A diversidade regional orientou a escolha dos Estados dos quais seriam selecionadas as escolas: Paraná (região Sul), São Paulo (região Sudeste) e Pernambuco (região Nordeste).

In a Moodle course teachers can grade students’ work and view the report via the “Grades” option under the “Course administration” (see figure 1). However the default view of the report is not easy to read as there are too many available columns in the table and teachers have to scroll left and right horizontally to be able to see all the column data. Although it is not a big problem when there are only couple of students, imagine that you have more than 10 students in the course – it will get difficult to keep track of whose grade report you are looking at as you scroll the student names column out of view.
Luckily there is a useful “Static student column” feature which can be enabled to make the Moodle Grader report easier to read.
All you need to do is to navigate to Administration > Grades > Report settings > Grader report and tick the checkbox for the “Static students column” option. Click the “Save changes” button before you leave the page.
