As the search for MH370 enters its third week, authorities get their most tantalizing clue yet with photos showing a possible debris field. Finding wreckage would allow them to begin piecing together, literally and figuratively, just what happened.
We may never know what eventually happened on board the day this aircraft was illegally seized. Blaming the pilots may be an assumption too far, 'might it be possible that they died rather than hand their aircraft over to people unknown? I am sure almost no effort will be spared to get to the bottom of this, but it will almost certainly involve some very serious deep water recovery...

The world's largest jet maker, Boeing (BA), may very soon see the end of the era of its iconic jumbo jet, the 747. Continuous weakness in demand in the cargo market and changes in requirements for large commercial jets are having a bearing on the Chicago-headquartered aerospace major's wide-body commercial jet offering.
The plane maker has seen no orders for its 747-8 jet so far this year. The 467-seater capacity plane is facing difficulty in getting orders. However, the 747-8F version managed to receive order for just one aircraft. Fears linger that if the market for such jets continues to remain as dull, the 747 series jet would fade away soon. Presently, Boeing's order books show a firm backlog of 51 747-8s. The 747 has received total orders for 120 since it was first unveiled, of which 69 have been delivered.
Boeing knew what it was doing when it invested in the Big Twin route over the three or four engined options. These configurations may have a future, but it will require a step-change in engine and airframe design to provide the resulting performance bonuses to fire the market and airline's imagination. The 747-8 didn't quite bridge this gap.
So sad !!... the Queen of the Skies is always majestic !
