From July 24th to July 27th, 2013 - the education community of Second Life, OpenSim, and other virtual worlds will be hosting a 4 day conference on best practices in education.

Using virtual worlds for engaging learning experiences is something we all as educators need to look at. With attention spans in classrooms getting shorter, we all need to look at what we can use to keep students engaged. Virtual worlds is definitely a viable option, but we all need a set of best practices to start from. This is why I personally feel this conference woulod be extremely useful.
