I'd have loved to have the chance when I was graduate student of linguistics to hear and actually see the man whose work I had to read in the library and return the book before heading home. Paradoxically, now that digital media makes it posssible to see Chomsky speaking to an audience, his books are probably not in the obligatory list of future linguists. See this video anyways.
