PORT SAID: The Armed Forces officers deployed to secure the Port Said Railway Station early Monday thwarted an attempt to smuggle 100 tons of imported goods that have customs fees, a security source told Youm7.
The source added that security forces head Mohamed Abdel Aziz received a report earlier about smugglers on a train headed from Port Said to Ismailia.
The security forces moved to the site following the report and were able to seize the smuggled goods with unpaid custom fees, the source said.
