Mind mapping is a great way to brainstorm, make a plan, or turn ideas into the steps needed to make it real. Thankfully, there are great tools out there to help you build mind maps, organize them, and save them for later. Via Baiba Svenca

Training the brain is a great tool for patients with AD, it encourages them to think, which is the major issue in with AD patients. The more brain works the better they will feel integrated into a group therapy or perhaps the close family. Since the cognitive area is totally affected by AD, I strongly recommend recreational activities as,painting, crosswords puzzels, checkers, bingos, etc, anything that boosts them to think.

Med Kharback: I just got this poster from a fellow teacher featuring the 6 thinking skills as outlined in the revised taxonomy. As you probably know, Blooms taxonomy that was first created in the 1950s has been revised by Krathwohl and there are two main changes that appeared in this revised taxonomy: the first one is semantic in that nouns are now being replaced with verbs; and the second change relates to the order of these thinking skills. In the old taxonomy, Bloom highlighted the importance of evaluating and therefore placed it at the top of the thinking continuum, but for Krathwohl Creating is the highest order thinking skill. Melvina Kurashige is a Japanese teacher who shared an idea from a school in Belgium. The kids took the idea and made it their own. Next thing they were invited to present at the School of the Future Conference in front of hundreds of teachers. They realized the process is what helped them become better learners. #ukedchat added something new to their normal twitter chat hour this week. Teachers were invited, beforehand to create a short 3-5 minute video and upload it to YouTube or Vimeo, then share the links which would be tweeted out for the audience to watch, and comment, on in real time during the TeachTweet event. #ukedchat has curated the video's here on Scoop.it for further viewing and comment.
I think this is a very innovative and welcome approach to teachers for several reasons: By moving the media format from text to video, it suggests new ways of connecting with an audience.The resources will not disappear into the ether because the half life of a video is significantly longer than that of a tweet.The video resources can be shared and embedded in other content and resources for CPD.This provides another way for teachers to share resources and ideas.Hopefully these videos will attract lots of comments.
