OK - this might be great, but we have many color blind students.

Mary Starry's curator insight, June 14, 9:11 AM

I don't see color used very often on pharmacy webpages or handouts. Maybe we consider our subject matter as too serious to incorporate color.  However, color can help with learning. A key point here is to use bold, not bright!

6 Things Teachers Do to Flip the Classroom

6 Things Teachers Do to Flip the Classroom | EFL ideas | Scoop.it

Get 6 Real World Examples of a Flipped Classroom from Subject Experts.

The Flipped Classroom model is changing the ways students learn and teachers teach. When you flip your classroom, you offer your students rich, engaging material to consider at home, and you use class time to help them interact with the ideas. Lecturing during class time is minimized and students have a teacher nearby when they are doing work and most likely to need guidance.

The key to "flipped" is to rethink who has control of content and learning. These are some great tactics to help move instruction toward more student-led learning.

Top 10 Websites for Teaching

Using grammar correctly could be challenging may be not for those who are English native speaker, but surely for those who learn English from scratch. English language and its difficulties can be very much puzzling. Although, a dictionary or software can assist learners but it cannot give accurate answer. In fact, word processing programs are not very much effective in correcting grammar errors completely.

Strategies To Promote Critical Thinking in the Elementary Classroom

Muy importante siempre promover el pensamiento crítico

enrique rubio royo's curator insight, June 16, 6:26 AM

Entre las diversas estrategias para promocionar el pensamiento crítico, se proponen cuatro (INQUIRY, QUESTIONING, PROBLEM SOLVING Y COLLABORATION), por ser, según el autor, las de mayor impacto.

Buena síntesis a la hora de implementar en el aula, de manera colaborativa,  el aprendizaje significativo y el pensamiento crítico         , siendo clave plantear 'guiding questions', de naturaleza abierta ('open-ended'), en la actividad diaria con los estudiantes.

Michel J. Boustani's curator insight, June 16, 8:17 AM

Students (future adults) need to learn what is and how to critical thinking from their own discoveries. SO that they will earn the freedom of critical thinking in their own time, from their own realities... I like this paper, the subject is an endless work in progress for a better social collective and individual well being!
