Great to see that there is a way for kids to learn more about politics. I know that when I first started learning about politics I knew nothing and I wish I would have had a better background on politics and elections. I can't wait to have a say in the politicians both on local and national levels.

khedlu17's curator insight, May 8, 2014 10:50 AM

In response to naknuts37:

This article provides teachers numerous different websites for teaching students about the election process. How effective are these different teaching methods?  Do students really learn from these methods? Are students learning the correct election process?

Austin Robertson's comment, May 9, 2014 3:44 PM
If teachers want their students to know more about elections I think this is a very good way to get the students informed on what's going in when there is an election.

"Isn't it great when we have ESL students who are very vocal about their needs? [...] By contrast, we are sometimes met with a quiet room full of blank stares. How do you know what’s going on in their heads if they don’t say anything? If you have students who are too quiet, chances are there is something they are not telling you, which you’ll need to find out – fast!"

"Longtemps présentées comme le symbole de l’American way of life, les suburbs américaines font aujourd’hui l’objet de vives critiques dans les séries télévisées. De Desperate Housewives à Weeds, les banlieues apparaissent, parfois de façon caricaturale, comme les lieux de la monotonie et du conformisme social, mais aussi comme le terrain de comportements immoraux ou déviants."
