EduMooc 2011 | EduMOOC | Scoop.it
This is Jeff Lebow's "attempt to navigate through the learning chaos of EduMooc 2011" (Jeff is famous for NOT blogging, so this should be interesting ;-)) Jeff is trying to scare up company for an EduMOOC webcast sometime this week, probably Wednesday or Friday 1400 UTC (http://timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?iso=20110706T14). Jeff asks: Interested/Available to play?

Learning is change; which is to say that if nothing changes, then nothing has been learned. Ergo, as we learn we change and as we encounter one another in that process of learning we change one another. Here is the recording of the first weekly live online presentation for eduMOOC 2011. They happen each Thursday at 7 pm London time. That's going to inevitably throw a lot of people off because London time in the summer is one hour ahead of GMT. That's one small flaw in this course, that times are given in several USA time zones and then in "London" time, which equates to 6 pm GMT.

At http://goodbyegutenberg.pbworks.com and in my associated topic at http://www.scoop.it/t/multiliteracies I've been playing with ideas touching on digital literacies, critical thinking, and learning in social networking and collaborative learning environments. I started filing my EduMOOC findings here in the summer of 2011, but I've moved on to curating here on the topic of MOOCs and other open learning initiatives in general :-)

eduMOOC Facebook group

This is the link to one of the EduMOOC groups on Facebook. This one is called 'eduMOOC' and the other is called "mooc". If you join either group someone in the group will make you one of the administrators of it. If you don't wish to be administrator you can view members and at then view administrators. If you see your name there you can then 'remove (yourself as) administrator'.

Tips for new MOOCers (#eduMOOC) | rjh.goingeast.ca

This is one of the suggestions for getting started from July 1, 2011 at the https://sites.google.com/site/edumooc/ page. It offers 4 tips, (1) don't read everything (don't worry, I won't), (2) join a conversation, (3) start a conversation, and (4) Ask questions that promote responses from different perspectives.
