Re: [eduMOOC] Re: Need to redefine what a MOOC is?

I totally agree with Scott in all his comments. With respect to AI Stanford, MOOC or not MOOC, we need to understand how to handle open massive technical courses and (if allowed by organizers) how much learners interaction appears.

John Graves's mashups of Popplets running out of DropBox and voiced via Wiki-to-Speech are almost as interesting as the content, this one about learning theories of learning online, citing research resources and noting implementations. One improvement to w2s, we need to know how many slides we have before the end (33 in this one; workaround, click Last page then restart)

Still disagree that the Stanford course is a MOOC. Nor will it morph miraculously into a MOOC by backchannel discussion groups forming around it.

SAM Broadcaster - spacial.com

SAM Broadcaster - spacial.com | EduMOOC | Scoop.it
According to Stephen's Web http://downes.ca for July 15, 2011 "Jeff Lebow said today that he's using this for web audio webcasting. It's a commercial product, but looks like it might be worth the investment. "SAM Broadcaster is something of a genius. It's equipped with the same kinds of tools radio professionals use, so you'll sound like you've been at it for years (even if you haven't).
- Use professional mixing features like cross-fades and beat detection
- Stream on popular online servers like SHOUTcast 2.0
- Manage over 50,000 songs
- Get real-time listener statistics
- Enjoy a clear, balanced sound."
