Estudo ERC: Públicos, consumos de noticias e plataformas digitais | Educommunication | Scoop.it

Trata-se do primeiro relatório do projeto ERC – Públicos e Consumos de Média, iniciado em finais de 2014 e que tem por objetivo central analisar a evolução dos consumos de média em Portugal. O desenvolvimento deste projeto assenta essencialmente na realização de um inquérito anual a nível nacional (continente e regiões autónomas), através do qual se pretende conhecer os hábitos de consumo de média dos portugueses e a sua evolução. A primeira edição privilegiou a análise dos consumos de notícias em plataformas digitais.

In our day-to-day work, we come across a vast range of blog entries, papers, presentations, videos, posts and tweets about digital education, in which different aspects of online learning and teaching are depicted, experiences made are reflected upon and new concepts and approaches are presented. Reading through these, we cannot help but be reminded of the picture showing a typical teaching scenario of the Dark Ages: a teacher being surrounded by a group of learners, listening to him and learning from him. At that time, the teacher was the source of all knowledge. He was the one with power and access to the things known at that time. The learners relied on him to teach them the things they needed to learn. They were the consumers of his knowledge. Since then, teaching methods have come a long way. Os jovens e os meios de comunicação: Convergentes, envolvidos, sociais e rurbanos | Educommunication | Scoop.it
A ligação entre a juventude, meios de comunicação e tecnologias geralmente ocorre muitas vezes estereotipados e focadas em como as tecnologias estão prejudicando as gerações futuras, em vez de ajuda-las, promovendo a configuração de seres espalhados, atolados em um mundo digital que rejeita o contato interpessoal, despreocupado e, portanto, pouco conectado com as questões locais ou nacionais. Uma pesquisa recente em uma província no centro da Argentina esclarece alguns destes pressupostos: longe de mostrar um jovem isolado nel mondo digital, o estudo mostra indivíduos e grupos que efetivamente priorizan o recreativo e social, ao mesmo tempo que eles estão preocupados com o mundo ao seu redor e se envolver em deliberação pública, explorando modalidades presenciais e virtuais, sinergicamente. Ao mesmo tempo, o contexto de acesso, consumo e interação se constitui como um espaço híbrido e fluido: primeira, pesquisa visualiza a coexistência de diferentes meios de comunicação em uma única galáxia que é alimentada com informações de diferentes gêneros, formatos e fundos; e em segundo lugar, as fronteiras entre rural e urbano são borradas, sendo que foram observadas pequenas diferenças entre os jovens que vivem nas mais e menos áreas povoadas.

Uma pesquisa realizada pela Universidade de Miami-Middletown mostra que a maioria dos alunos sente-se confortável e adepta pronta para discutir o conteúdo das aulas dentro de redes sociais. Os 145 alunos pesquisados apontaram vantagens, como espalhar mais facilmente o conteúdo entre eles e possibilitar que os mais tímidos consigam se manifestar de outras formas. “As redes sociais são um novo ambiente de linguagem e expressão. É um território que foi primeiramente ocupado pelos jovens e mexeu profundamente no modo como eles se expressam”, fala o jornalista e educador Alexandre Le Voci Sayad.

«En s'appuyant sur cette vision, la CEST-Jeunesse exprime ses préoccupations autour de trois enjeux soulevés par les TICE. Tout d'abord, elle place l'efficacité et la valeur pédagogique des TICE comme prérequis essentiel à leur déploiement dans le réseau scolaire. Ensuite, elle aborde les enjeux d'équité soulevés par l'accessibilité au matériel, ainsi qu'à la connaissance et aux compétences pour l'utiliser. A controversial YouTube video showing teenage girls getting tricked online into meeting strangers in person has attracted more than 32 million page views.

The video was made by self-described "model prankster" Coby Persin, who says he wants to alert parents about how easily children can be lured by people they meet online.

Some experts who spoke to CBC News, however, say the video is of limited value in helping keep the online community safe for young people.
