"This publication makes the case for policy action to strengthen health literacy. Evidence, including the results of the European Health Literacy Survey, is presented that supports a wider and relational whole-of-society approach to health literacy that considers both an individual’s level of health literacy and the complexities of the contexts within which people act. The data from the European Health Literacy Survey show that nearly half the Europeans surveyed have inadequate or problematic health literacy. Weak health literacy skills are associated with riskier behaviour, poorer health, less self-management and more hospitalization and costs. Strengthening health literacy has been shown to build individual and community resilience, help address health inequities and improve health and well-being. Practical and effective ways public health and other sectoral authorities and advocates can take action to strengthen health literacy in a variety of settings are identified. Specific evidence is presented for educational settings, workplaces, marketplaces, health systems, new and traditional media and political arenas." Delete the scoop?

1° mapbuilder (http://goo.gl/TZoPJ) : Il porte bien son nom. Ce site vous aide à construire votre propre carte et la personnaliser.
2° wayfaring (http://goo.gl/lenX2) : Il permet de créer des cartes personnalisées pour votre vie, une évenement ou des cartes avec des photos et vidéos. Vous pouvez les partager par la suite.
3° communitywalk (http://goo.gl/mP6kW) : Un site pour créer des cartes professionnelles. Vous pouvez créer des trajets et les enregistrer sous un nom et les partager avec qui vous voulez.
4° quikmaps (http://goo.gl/PB7ta) : Met à votre disposition des cartes pretes et vous serez en mesure de les personnaliser en y ajoutant des signes préférés pour localiser des endroits.
5° yourgmap (http://goo.gl/H3Ex8) : Un autre site pour géolocaliser des places que vous désirez voir sur la carte et la partager apres. Vous devez vous inscrire avant de créer votre carte.
6° click2map (http://goo.gl/NtqZE) : C'est un site francais qui vous permet de créer des cartes et de les héberger gratuitement. Vous pouvez en créer anonymement ou vous enregistrez d'abord.
7° tinymap (http://goo.gl/wZc61) : Il vous fournit tous les outils pour faciliter la tache de personnaliser des cartes en y ajoutant des signes et créer vos propres trajets en couleurs.
8° maplib (http://goo.gl/lIAA3) : Ce site vous permet de personnaliser les cartes en annotant les images géolocalisées, les partager et voir d'autres partagées par les utilisateurs. 9° mapmaker (http://goo.gl/bpJEu) : Un autres service qui vous génere une carte à partir des données que vous lui avez fournies en latitude et longitude.
10° useamap (http://goo.gl/X8LWr) : Créer une carte personnalisée en choisissant un nom et zoomer l'endroit désigné puis partager la carte.
11° aardvarkmap (http://goo.gl/ewFqV) : Créer une carte en 3 étapes seulement. Un code vous sera généra par le site apres avoir choisir l'endroit, ajouter quelques options puis sauvegarder la carte.

"This article, building on an extensive summary of the European-scale Experts’ Study on film literacy in Europe 2012, draws attention to two different conceptions of film education: as an (a) entitlement for all, a social good (akin to the entitlement to universal literacy) and as (b) an instrumental means of developing film consumers, or audiences. Based upon a large survey of film education across 32 European countries, the authors give the context of film literacy in Europe three perspectives: (1) The established practice of film educators across all sectors in the member states; (2) the wider arguments about film culture and its importance; and (3) the relation between film literacy and media literacy, especially in the context of the EC’s media literacy initiative. We also reflect at the end on the relation between film education and the affordances, limitations and misconceptions surrounding digital technologies."

Wikipedia defines digital literacy as "the ability to locate, organize, understand, evaluate, and analyze information using digital technology. It involves a working knowledge of current high-technology, and an understanding of how it can be used" (1-19-2011, 20:13). Along side this definition, digital literacy depends greatly on an individual's ability to adapt to the advancements in the technological world, with little to no instruction. As technology continues to advance, and more and more cultures become digitally literate, an ability to not only understand the medium, but also interact with it, becomes crucial. "One of the «black holes» of academic research in Communication is the shallowness of reflections on the classic origins of Communication, its aims and points of entry. In this respect, the study of communicative processes on the Internet becomes particularly relevant (specifically the social networks processes) when observed from the classic rhetorical perspective. We focus on the use of persuasion strategies (ethos, pathos, logos) as well as the abundant use of rhetorical figures. Such parameters, along with the resources that emergent technologies offer, unleash creativity and afford humanist aspects to network communication. These give online platforms an extremely persuasive strength. Thus, we may speak of the network user of the 21st century as the new «Rhetorician». Our research on Facebook addresses the presence of rhetoric in online social network communication: the user of these platforms applies communicative strategies described by the Rhetoricians dating back to GrecoRoman antiquity. The methodology in this work (the study of three typified cases and the content analysis of conversations generated on Facebook walls) allows us to intertwine rhetoric and communication today, mediated by the emergence of online networks. We propose the retrieval of certain parameters of deep, critical thought to the benefit of a more human communication."
