I think this is an interesting representation to show how the ability to have access to news and internet is the new most important thing to have to get word out. Now if you can speak English and have a computer with internet access you can.

Shane C Cook's curator insight, May 27, 9:14 AM

This map allows people to understand the flow of news from around the world. We can use it to see where and what is happening and chart it to connect trends for example Syria and France are large because of the recent happenings with terrorists and terror attacks.

63 Things Every Student Should Know In A Digital World - TeachThought

63 Things Every Student Should Know In A Digital World - TeachThought | Ed, Tech & Leadership | Scoop.it

"But in an increasingly connected and digital world, the things a student needs to know are indeed changing—fundamental human needs sometimes drastically redressed for an alien modern world. Just as salt allowed for the keeping of meats, the advent of antibiotics made deadly viruses and diseases simply inconvenient, and electricity completely altered when and where we slept and work and played, technology is again changing the kind of “stuff” a student needs to know."

Are gimmicks and trends getting in the way of teaching? | Ed, Tech & Leadership | Scoop.it
We have lumbered teachers with bureaucracy and squashed their ability to be flexible enough to meet the needs of their students, argues Alex Quigley
Mark Solomons's insight:

Fantastic article from Alex Quigley (@HuntingEnglish) less certainly is more...and with Dylan Wiliam as a proponent, who can argue? Focus has to be on what has the most impact, even to the point of not doing some good things...Teachers; time is finite, precious and too important to 'waste'...some brilliant comments too.

Paul Krugman is staking a claim in both the positive economics and the normative assessment.  Surprisingly, it appears to be the pollar opposite on both counts of a lot of economists I think are very good.  Well, not completely, because even among the economists I am most in agreement with, there are some issues in the positive economics of new currencies that are contestable.

More people are running to charity tube to post free videos and watch free videos than posting on you tube. Try posting at charity tube and you will never leave. http://www.africatube.net/ More visitors and more video views. Don't take our word for it, try it. Post one same video on youtube and put it on  http://www.africatube.net/ and return ater five hours and compare the viewers rate and decide for yourself. Create your very own group or forum and control who watch it and invite everyone to watch the video. Above all, post video in English or in any language and viewers can watch video description in their own language. Try it and let us know your experience. Above all it is absolutely free like youtube
