Rudolf Kabutz's curator insight, October 3, 2013 12:30 PM

Thanks, dear Fabienne, this is really insightful.

In teaching one might want to progressively move from one level to the next, yet I would expect that one could work on all levels simultaneously.

How much more would children learn when they ask their 3-year-old, "What do you think ..."

Mobile Learning: No Longer About the Technology, but About the Learning

Mobile Learning: No Longer About the Technology, but About the Learning | ANALYZING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY | Scoop.it
A transition, quietly but most assuredly, has occurred: Today, in 2016, discussions under the heading "mobile learning" are becoming more about how "all-the-time, everywhere learning" can be supported with "mobile" technology than about mobile devices and apps. That transition has huge pedagogical implications!

A New Visual On Bloom's Taxonomy for The Web ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | ANALYZING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY | Scoop.it
After posting about Digital Taxonomy for iPad, today we are sharing with you the web version. We tried to come up with web tools that go with each of Bloom’s thinking levels. Some of these tools can fit in different levels, however, for practical reasons we limited our selection to five tools per level. You can print, share and embed the visual the way you like as long as you credit us as the source. The Android version is coming soon.

'It's time to ditch the traditional school curriculum and prepare young people for life'

'It's time to ditch the traditional school curriculum and prepare young people for life' | ANALYZING EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY | Scoop.it
Our world is getting increasingly complex; so how do we know what is worth teaching and learning?

David Perkins, a professor at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, is interested in how to adapt our curriculums in an ever-changing world. He believes that what is conventionally taught in our schools is not designed to produce the kinds of community members we want and need.

Perkins believes that only by reimagining what we teach our children can we lead students down the road to a more prosperous life.

Here, in a piece that first appreared on the Global Search for Education website, Professor Perkins, whose latest book is Future Wise: Educating Our Children for a Changing World, discusses what is worth learning.
