I am so happy to see this article. Both keyboarding and handwriting are essential skills. One cannot replace the other. There are critical connections that happen in the handwriting process (as shown in Beth's comment). These connections help with not only spelling but the flow of writing.
Love ThingLink and now it's even better for teachers and classes! Teachers can see all their students' work in one place. Teachers can add student accounts. I'm interested to see how it works on the iPad and am hopeful that these features are transferred to the app as well. ThinkLink is a great product and I'm pleased to see it getting better and more useful for education.

Very thorough guide to using, assessing and making ePortfolios happen. Plenty of tips and suggestions for which apps to use and how to digitise work. Nicely presented and easy to follow. Also does a good job talking about the 'why' of ePortfolios. This is the part I find some of my teachers struggle with.
