How-To: Link Images to QR Codes - ClassTechTips.com | Educational strategies | Scoop.it
QR Codes are a fantastic way to take students directly to a website and I’ve shared tons of ways I like to use them!  If you want your students to find a picture without doing a Google Image search, it’s easy to create a QR code that takes students directly to a photograph.

The Business of Higher Education

The Business of Higher Education | Educational strategies | Scoop.it

Higher education is a business. Students are customers. I realize that your opinion is probably already on one side or another of this particular set of concepts. While I think that most of us would like to say that people pay for higher education to experience the joy of learning, the reality of the systems that make up higher education is that people go to school to pay the bills. Individuals attend a college or university as a means to an end.

TOWS, the next step of SWOT analysis

TOWS, the next step of SWOT analysis | Educational strategies | Scoop.it

No, TOWS is not just a rearrangement of SWOT. One leads into the other. Several of the responses to my SWOT entry recommended using a TOWS approach. Sensing an opportunity to create a similar entry, I looked at all the ways that you could display a TOWS analysis. Alas, there seems to be only one main way, so here is a quick look at TOWS analysis. For a detailed background on TOWS and its implementation, read the 19 page original article on TOWS by Heinz Weihrich in Long Range Plannin. [Hohhof article]

How do you inspire meaningful learning in Higher Education in the midst of a culture where there's "layer after layer of management - a kind of economic waste, but useful for control and domination..."? Chomsky shows some startling connections useful for learning.
