Dear Mary Anne, You might take a look at the two syllabi that were created by Howard Rheingold. He shared both documents on Google Docs (i.e. Gdrive).

Existe un recurso esencial del que no debería prescindirse en cualesquiera de las propuestas referidas a estudios a distancia, sean desarrollados éstos a través de sistemas más o menos convencionales o de sistemas digitales. Hoy también se viene exigiendo en los entornos presenciales.

 

Son diferentes las denominaciones que a este documento se le asignan según países, contextos, instituciones o normativas. La denominación más habitual venía siendo la de Guía didáctica. Pero también se le ha denominado Guía docente. Así se hace en muchas universidades que se integraron en las exigencias del Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) y que contemplan el documento como una planificación detallada de cada asignatura.

Privacy is a sensitive subject to which people attach great importance. The only problem is that they do not know exactly why. Still, if it is so important then it is also necessary to establish why that is the case. It is therefore the task of ethicists to clarify the relevant theoretical arguments and practical implications.

Any topics that touch on privacy, such as the electronic files on patients (efp) and cameras in public spaces therefore soon become topics of heated social and political debate. People appreciate the advantages of new information technology but are at the same time alarmed to realize that so much is known about them. It is often emotions that play a decisive role because the relevant arguments are difficult to formulate not to mention weigh up.

The label of “21st Century learning” is vague, and is an idea that we here at TeachThought like to take a swing at as often as possible, including:

 

 –weighing the magic of technology with its incredible cost and complexity

 

–underscoring the potential for well thought-out instructional design

 

–considering the considerable potential of social media platforms against its apparent divergence from academic learning

 

Some educators seek out the ideal of a 21st century learning environment constantly, while others prefer that we lose the phrase altogether, insisting that learning hasn’t changed, and good learning looks the same whether it’s the 12th or 21st century.

 

At TeachThought, we tend towards the tech-infused model, but do spend time exploring the limits and challenges of technology, the impact of rapid technology change, and carefully considering important questions before diving in head-first. 

 

The following take on 21st century learning developed by TeachThought is notable here because of the absence of technology. There is very little about iPads, social media, 1:10 laptops, or other tech-implementation. In that way, it is closer to the “classic” approach to “good learning” than it is the full-on digital fare we often explore.

 

The size of the circles on the map are intended to convey priority.
