Las viñetas y otras pantallas basadas en texto no solo son aburridas y muestran una falta de creatividad, también toman tiempo para ser leídas por el alumno; tiempo durante el cual el alumno se distrae de lo que escucha. El resultado: la audiencia no es capaz de concentrarse plenamente, ya sea en el contenido verbal o escrito, y no logra absorber la mayoría de la información.


El contenido visual, por otro lado, complementa la información auditiva. De hecho, la combinación correcta de los elementos visuales y los estímulos verbales puede hacer que el contenido sea inolvidable. Entonces, en vez de crear pantallas llenas de contenido, muestre a los estudiantes cómo se ve este contenido y cuente la  historia detrás de la información. Utilice herramientas de pensamiento visual como metáforas para mejorar el mensaje gráfico.


Las imágenes, diagramas y escenarios también le ayudarán a lograrlo. Los diseñadores pueden, incluso, animar imágenes a medida que la historia se desarrolla, para asegurarse que los alumnos se mantengan concentrados en la narración con el fin de comprender el mensaje completo.


Ser capaz de pensar en imágenes ayuda a llevar los cursos al siguiente nivel. Comience con un ejercicio simple: ¿Cómo puedo utilizar elementos visuales para explicar el contenido que normalmente escribiría como una diapositiva llena de viñetas?
