5 Good iPad Apps for Teaching Kids about Coding ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

5 Good iPad Apps for Teaching Kids about Coding ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | Education | Scoop.it

"Teaching kids how to code is no brainer, there are now several digital platforms where learners get to learn everything about coding from the basics to the advanced levels and without having to pay a dime. I personally learned about HTML and CSS coding through an online website called W3schools and never had any course at school or paid anybody to teach me. I am not an HTML expert now but at least I can tweak my blog template, add widgets, write codes for tables, chart and several other commands."

I just read an article about a Boston independent school who have adopted coding classes as part of a graduation requirement. Is this starting to become a trend in K-12?

Sure, We probably need to replace the obsolete requirements by new trends like this.

This is a two part blog series ...

1. Transmedia stories and games explained:  "Opportunity abounds in the area of ‘transmedia projects’, or stories and games that span more than one medium or artform."

2. Opening the door to transmedia projects:  "In what follows I’ll share some of the design guidelines I’ve come to after running transmedia courses for years as a practitioner, and also as an educator for industry professionals and undergraduate students."
