This is why many go to community colleges and small colleges..instructors focus on teaching at these institutions, they don't have to focus on research. Their students aren't being taught by TA's (some TA's are great, but some aren't).

The Five Big Reforms That Higher Ed Needs

The Five Big Reforms That Higher Ed Needs | Educare | Scoop.it

Fulfilling all five of these goals will not solve all of higher education’s problems. But it would reduce costs (especially by cutting federal student financial aid) and enrollments, and would also at least marginally improve academic rigor and standards. Moreover, achieving these goals is revenue neutral or enhancing for governments.

La lógica de la conexión: Just in Time Teaching, Peer Instruction y Flipped Classroom | Educare | Scoop.it

Entre ellas, hemos venido destacando últimamente el Just in Time Teaching y Peer Instruction.

[PDF] Reading in the mobile era

[PDF] Reading in the mobile era | Educare | Scoop.it

Training on the edge: Understanding four generations of workers

Training on the edge: Understanding four generations of workers | Educare | Scoop.it

This is the first in a series of six posts exploring current issues facing training professionals and the upcoming trends in training for the next five years.

In this series we will examine what the current learning indicators show about the outlook for the modern workplace and the next five years, as well as four key trends associated with adapting training to the new context. As these trends play out, we need to consider how to implement a culture change in our training organizations and identify some of the challenges these changes will bring.

Specifically, we'll explore:

Trend 1 - Blended Learning & Flipping The ClassroomTrend 2 - Collaboration As A CompetencyTrend 3 - Cognitive and Facilitative Educational TechnologyTrend 4 - Blurring the Lines Between Work and Learning
