MindMeister have published a great article on mind mapping with students. The article explains the purpose of mindmapping, describes its uses and benefits, and reminds the teachers that MindMeister's maps can be displayed in Presentation Mode.

For some people mind mapping and concept mapping may represent the same technique, however, there are some differences. This article compares these two terms and lists their similarities and differences in a simple mind map (or a concept map?).

Group brainstorming application GroupMap lets students and teachers work collaboratively on producing ideas, plans, reflections, revision and exam preparation, case studies, projects etc.

Free account allows to involve 5 participants and create 25 public maps.There are also different paid accounts.

At present GroupMap requires Google Chrome or Safari browsers on your PC, or Safari on your iPad.

A new mind mapping tool for creating mind maps online. To learn more about it, click Help ("i" on the toolbar).

All the editing tips are displayed on the default mind map.

When you save the map, you get a unique URL for your map.

The tool offers a great possibility to build a mind map collaboratively. Each time someone edits the map, the new version is saved with a new URL.
