...The most basic lesson we learn first in my visual design class is that slides are not documents. In order to create slides that use the Keynote or PowerPoint medium as it was intended to be used – for a visual purpose – we must set up our slides for success.

At http://www.learnclick.com it is very simple to create quizzes. For gap-filling exercises (so-called cloze tests) you just mark the words with your mouse. @Christine: Even so, it's very affordable ($19/y is less than $2 a month). It not being free might actually be a good thing, since you get good support with your subscription and we can pay our bills, so the product will not get closed down anytime soon. Slides is a new online HTML presentation creator by Hakim El Hattab who is also the author of Reveal.js application, which is why the tools are similar. An easy way of creating an online slide presentation without the coding knowledge. Mindmapping has always been a great way to get your thoughts and plans organized. Here is an article which describes the top five most popular programs. Our personal preference is either Xmind or FreeMind, both free, but all of them will help your business.

Prezi isn't the only challenger of Keynote / Powerpoint any longer. Bunkr looks interesting, but I worry if this is not further transforming us into a cut'n'paste culture.

There are so many good things from Google. Check them out. One feature that I use often is the form features. I send out surveys and invitations. Responses feed into a spreadsheet. Delete the scoop?
