Kate Thompson's insight:

This article identifies the need for pre-service teachers to understand the importance of personal learning, and develop the appropriate skills necessary to implement these methods into their own classrooms. With the emphasis on technology used within a learning environment. Meaningful student learning has also been supported through studies that demonstrate an effective pedagogical use of ICT for learning. The model of Technology for Personalising Learning (TPL) is included in the article and is part of the planning for higher education with personal learning. As a pre-service teacher I understand the relevance of personal learning particularly in a differentiated classroom. Classrooms that need to accommodate for students with varying abilities will benefit from personal learning as they develop and learn at their own pace.

For example 'Presentation.io' is used by educators to create tools for students to present their documents and slides and share them virtually with their class.
