Resource-1.pdf

Rosie Peel's insight:

This resource is a series of activities and pointers for teaching Scratch to young students. After these activities alone, the students will have enough tools to create their own stories. Teachers should be able to give as much structure as you think is necessary, like requirements for number of scenes, characters, or scripts. Stories are a great way to introduce all the features of Scratch, and they allow for lots of creativity from the kids. Scratch is a creative tool for any age, and even kids this young can learn to use it to express themselves.

New learning technologies hold great promise for supporting student learning with well-designed and research-based adaptive, interactive, accessible and personalized environments. These new environments generate large amounts of data that may help educators understand more about student growth, make more informed decisions, and improve learning opportunities overall for individuals, groups, and the education system as a whole.

This tool allows you to easily export the concordance lines into a text file. Provided the text was either online or in a text file, it also makes identifying vocabulary words in texts easier. As a corpus tool on the web, I find the option of being able to upload multiple texts into the corpus one of the benefits of the site. But this tool is still in Beta mode, so there may still be some kinks with it that need worked out.
