If you're not familiar with "learning management systems" (LMS) they're basically software programs that help teachers administer, document, track, and report class information.  The new service Fishtree takes the idea of a traditional LMS an expands on it in a big way.  Not only does Fishtree cover all the roles of a typical LMS, it also helps teachers differentiate their instruction, incorporate media, and a whole lot more.  It's an awesome learning resource, so, let's check it out!

Technology has totally changed my teaching and my students' learning.  It is now my goal to create "learning opportunities" for my students to pursue.  It allows students to accelerate their studies and frees up my classroom time to give one to one and small group instruction for those who need it.

Blendspace, formerly known as EdCanvas, is now a part of Wikispaces and TES. The Blendspace service will continue to run as a stand-alone service. The aspect of the merger that has the most immediate impact on teachers is that the premium features of Blendspace will now be free.
