P.O.N.C.E. Projects of New City Ecology, an academic initiative of the School of Architecture of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, invites students, artists, architects and related professionals to the International Summit: Architecture, Politics and Policies for Contemporary City.
This event will gather the most prestigious and innovative voices in architecture and urbanism, in a series of lectures, panels and discussions. The Summit, will take place during three days, opening on Thursday, December 8th, with keynote speaker Eric Owen Moss, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Eric Owen Moss, director of the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) since 2003, is coming to Puerto Rico directly from London, where he will be receiving the 2011 Jencks Award, which is given each year to an architect who has made a major contribution to both the theory and practice of architecture, by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
