I am distressed to see that Ireland's example on the front page is a one-off house in the remote countryside - "a dream home".  No isolated dwelling can be green or an 'eco house'  unless the owner needs to work in the immediate rural area i.e. a farmer.  These houses should be in compact settlements in the countryside.  Designing these buildings is greenwash.

It is worrying that wealthy people appear to be able to get planning permisison in the UK to build in highly scenic areas using 'green' credentials.  No remote house unconnected with a livlihood on the land can be green.
