Une comparaison de Socrative et mqlicker : mQlicker is another free Audience Response System. It has many of the same features as Socrative but a few extras that could be quite helpful including unlimited audience size, easy participation using session key or permalink, results displayed in PowerPoint slides with live updates and can be displayed as harts: vertical bar, horizontal bar or pie charts, table of responses, interactive ‘sticky notes’ or word cloud. The user interface isn’t as simple as Socrative and seems more set up for anonymous reporting.

Article très intéressant montrant qu'entre 20 et 30% des élèves visionnent spontanément des capsules vidéo créés par leur enseignant. Il est important que la vidéo soit attractive pour donner envie aux élèves. Cependant, tous les élèves ne sont pas prêts à s'investir en dehors des cours pour un apprentissage en profondeur.

"The study examines students’ assessments of the use of the flipped classroom approach in an undergraduate course in the Business Department at the College for Academic Studies in Israel. In its essence, learners prepare for classes by watching videos away from class, allowing the classroom encounter to focus on discussion, exercises, and discourse. Data were collected by a questionnaire distributed toward the end of the course."

The wonderful Khan Academy iPad app has been updated this week, to Version 2.0.

This is a major update for an already superb educational app. It brings access to everything that’s available at Khan Academy online – including some 150,000 learning exercises as well as personalized recommendations.

Khan Academy is a great educational tool for all ages; the iPad version has always been a great app – and now it’s even better.

StripGenerator est un générateur de bandes dessinées en ligne. Son principe est simple, il offre à l'internaute la possibilité de créer sa propre bande dessinée simplement à partir d'éléments déjà créés comme des personnages, accessoires, bulles...

 

Il n'oblige pas l'internaute à s'inscrire contrairement à beaucoup trop de services actuellement. Il est tout à fait possible de créer une bande dessinée en tant qu'anonyme.

 

Une fois la BD terminée, il est alors possible de la publier sur le site internet de StripGenerator et est ainsi visible par toute la communauté.On peut aussi l'imprimer avant de la publier.

Twitter is one of the best platforms for creating and growing your personal/professional learning network (PLN). The strength of this microblogging tool lies in its easy accessibility and its sweeping widespread among a larger and diversified base of users. Creating a PLN in Twitter starts with following Tweetors whose tweets can potentially be of an added value to you. A rule of thumb here is that before you follow anyone, make sure you peruse through the tweets they have been sharing and see if they intersect with your own interests and goals. If so, use the snowballing strategy to find other similar Tweetors to follow. In other words, when you find somebody worthy of following, check their following list,  chances are he/she is following other like-minded people you might want to add to your PLN as well.
