These posters were designed by graphic designer Mike Joyce inspired by his love of punk rock and swiss modernism. Mike redesigned many rock show flyers into international style posters. Each design is set in lowercase berthold akzidenz-grotesk medium (not helvetica). Every single one of these shows actually happened.

Everyone wants their 15 minutes, and in the world of fashion, it’s always been hard to come by. Recent decades have yielded a certain phenomenon that has swept fashion onto a myriad of pixelated screens worldwide: “street style” photography. On the one hand, it is a natural means of capturing trends and unique styles, and with new fashion blogs popping up every day, also a cost-effective means of promotion. On the other side though, there seem ties to paparazzi culture: a “dress-to-be-noticed” performance in which both photographer and street model saturate the scene with contrived attention. GARAGE Magazinehas an in-depth piece on said phenomenon, called “Take My Picture.” The clip asks the driving questions on a profound and affecting topic – one that’s sure to inspire its own discussion on this very site.
