William Eggleston's "Stranded in Canton" (screening) | What's new in Visual Communication? | Scoop.it

Join us on Sunday, February 23rd, for a rare screening of photographer William Eggleston's pioneering video work "Stranded In Canton."
Restored and reformed by Mr. Eggleston in collaboration with film-maker,Robert Gordon,we are thrilled to be able to share this opportunity to view it in a theatrical setting.
Drawn from hours of video Eggleston shot between 1973 and 1975 of his family and home life as well as the parties, alleys, clubs, bars and homes of Memphis, Mississippi, and New Orleans, his camera observes and confronts a cast of eccentric characters, both public and private, in all their drunk, funny, crazy, and tragic glory.
Photographer, Christian Patterson, will introduce the film and Jim McHugh of NYMPH will DJ before and after.
