G+ is catching up big time for many reasons.  Among these reasons is the Hangout integration.

We just facilitated a remote 1.5 day leadership development session with Hangouts and it was fantastic.

Google is sticking to their strategy and their value is starting to win people over.  I was never a fan and, through valuable features, I am changing my perspective on the suite of offerings.

This is a relevant infographic.

Defining Social Learning

Defining Social Learning | Easy Ways To Get Your Own List | Scoop.it

How do you define social learning?

I define social learning as participating with others to make sense of new ideas. Augmented by a new slew of social tools, people can gather information and gain new context from people across the globe and around the clock as easily as they could from those they work beside.

Don’t use a 2.0 technology in a 1.0 way

Don’t use a 2.0 technology in a 1.0 way | Easy Ways To Get Your Own List | Scoop.it

“And that's the grand dilemma of social networking: it's intended to allow participation, to let companies and individuals all engage and interact, but a...

As we have progressed, not only in our use of technology but also our understanding of effective leadership, we know that communication includes effective talking but, more importantly, listening. Being able to hear what is being said from those we serve is extremely important to how we develop our schools, and the conversation is extremely valuable. Yet, many schools and organizations use social media in the old fashion: sharing information but not having a conversation. In reality, just because you have ears doesn’t mean you are listening.

The SEO Puzzle: The Most Important Pieces [Infographic]

The SEO Puzzle: The Most Important Pieces [Infographic] | Easy Ways To Get Your Own List | Scoop.it

It doesn’t really matter how much you study it, it’s almost impossible to get the perfect SEO (Search Engine Optimization) score for any long period of time.

Each search engine has their own algorithm to rank websites, and as if that wasn’t complicated enough, they change that algorithm frequently in order to perfect it and make sure that the same sites don’t hog up the top positions simply because they’ve figured out the x-factor in the algorithm to dodge other more popular sites that have the traffic, content mass, and extensive Internet presence enough to be ranked at the top.

I would probably need an endless number of articles to cover all the different aspects of the perfect SEO, and if I tried to do that, I would probably not be able to pinpoint it anyway.

What is "Design-Thinking?"

What is "Design-Thinking?" | Easy Ways To Get Your Own List | Scoop.it
In many ways, this Fellow-year has been a treasure hunt. The guiding question has been "Where are the richest opportunities for authentic, engaged, student-centered learning?"  By extension, which ...

Interestingly, one of the most exciting approaches I’ve come across has a humble origin: the process associated with design. “Design Thinking” is a process, a framework, a series of steps that designers go through in order to solve problems, to improve existing ideas, or to realize previously unseen potential.

===> In short, it’s a deliberate  process that can be used to increase curiosity, creativity, and critical-thinking. <===

Notice the similarities of "design thinking", instructional design, engineering design and game design. All are examples of simple good design.
