This article has a very interesting take on the educational gap that exists because of 1.) parents who may have/ not attended college 2.) children may not be able to go to pre-school because it may cost too much. In this study, it shows that children who attended pre-school had better verbal and language skills compared to those that didn't attend pre-school. According to the study, at age 3, children who have attended a quality pre-school have better verbal and reading skills than those that don't, which ultimately leads to a higher IQ
