How To Find Openly Licensed Educational Resources You Can Use [Infographic] | EAP, ELT and EFA | Scoop.it
Most of us turn to the internet when we are looking for resources to use for a presentation, report or article. The internet holds the key to so many robust resources.

Yet how many of these resources can you legally use for free? How many of them can you adapt?

That’s where Open Educational Resources (OER) can help. Here’s an infographic from the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (at the University of Texas at Austin) that can help.

tom cockburn's curator insight, December 24, 2014 6:17 AM

Motivation and cooperative learning are good uses problems arise for people in the evaluation and assessment and that compromises the acceptance of such by potential employers etc. The difficulty is in discerning the difference between collaborative or shared learning as opposed to simple collusion in getting answers which may not entail much,if any learning, other than how to cheat and thus disadvantage genuine learners who have made an effort. Thus making use of others' research to inform your own projects is not the same as claiming others' work as your own...and that is a big selling point for systems like Turnitin and others.

Bonnie Bracey Sutton's curator insight, January 8, 9:52 PM
Many teachers of today are not prepared as the choices are often made at an administrate or IT level without proper vetting of teacher involvement.

Practical English Usage - The App!

Practical English Usage - The App! | EAP, ELT and EFA | Scoop.it

Practical English Usage by Michael Swan was one of the first books I ever bought when I started learning to teach. It's one of the few that I still keep on my shelf and probably the one that I have most often consulted, especially in those early years as a classroom teacher when I was having to field constant grammar questions from my enthusiastic students - who I suspected knew much more about the rules of grammar than I did.

Corrective Feedback : User the language power tools to process your assignments | EAP, ELT and EFA | Scoop.it

Teachers sometimes hesitate to assign writing tasks because of the correction work it creates. However, students benefit from frequent writing practice and the corrective feedback they receive. One solution is for teachers to work longer hours. Another is to find ways to integrate automatic corrective feedback into second language pedagogy.
