Reflection does not always have to be in written form. For some students, reflections can be oral, shared with peers or teachers. However, we need to capture those stories in our portfolios to make them objects of reflection. With the addition of multimedia technologies, these stories can be captured, in either audio or video formats. Via Nik Peachey

Three leading organizations in the eportfolio community have teamed up to develop and produce a webinar series for eportfolio practitioners and consumers. EPAC, ePortfolio California and AAEEBL will present Exploring ePortfolio Technologies: Reviewing Platforms and Approaches for Teaching, Learning and Beyond. The series offers an opportunity for eportfolio providers and academics to discuss how various eportfolio platforms serve the needs of educators and learners in the knowledge economy. The New Zealand Ministry of Education saw so many benefits in having a nationally sponsored system that, in collaboration with Catalyst, they developed an ePortfolio system and offered it to every school in New Zealand...//..One student showed me the system she uses for writing reflections on her work. The system is a series of colored hats (based on Edward de Bono’s “Six Thinking Hats”) that represent various ways of reflecting on a particular work/artifact.
