Looks like a good idea. Especially since you become the owner of the work and it is not stored on a third party site...

Vicki Mast's curator insight, September 13, 2013 11:24 AM

I just downloaded the free version which looks good, but may have to upgrade. The features look well worth the $3.99 price. You can move & resize your drawn objects, zoom in/out, etc. If you're working on creating "flipped classroom" videos, or how-to tutorials this may be what you need. Check out their website and user guide for the details.

D G Stevenson's insight:

This quote caught my eye: "lecture is among the least effective instructional strategies, even really, really good lectures". The author builds a good argument as to why this is true and that all higher ed. faculty should receive training in instructional strategies and pedagogical theory.

Storytelling and Data: Using Two Sides of the Brain Is Better Than One | Sustainable Brands

Storytelling and Data: Using Two Sides of the Brain Is Better Than One | Sustainable Brands | E-Learning | Scoop.it
We believe that business storytelling has emerged as a solution to the limited conversations we can have when we rely too much on data, including why we’re pursuing sustainability in the first place. However, together, storytelling and data can help address the dissatisfaction with our current level of progress and the approaches taken, and be more consistent with the urgent need for greater actions on sustainability issues.
D G Stevenson's insight:

This argument for reinforcing data with compelling storytelling has learning applications as well.

How to Train Your Mind to Think Critically and Form Your Own Opinions

How to Train Your Mind to Think Critically and Form Your Own Opinions | E-Learning | Scoop.it
"Critical Thinking" may sound like an obnoxious buzzword from liberal arts schools, but it's actually a useful skill.
