Dennis T OConnor's insight:
Critical thinkiing is an essential 21st Century Skill. E-Learning courses (expecially those with facilitated discussion) are great opportunities for practicing critical thinkiing. Without Critical Thinking, a course can become so boring!

I like this poster. Learning psychology is about explaining or outlining a theory, followed by evidence in the form of research, ending with critical evaluative commentary. This will be helpful for students.

A useful infographic that not only summarises the attributes of a critical thinker but more significantly, provides a 25 point list of actions teachers can invite students to do in learning activities, to stimulate and develop critical thinking abilities. A great poster for your office wall! Delete the scoop?

Although this article focuses on education, mindmapping can be a great planning and coordination tool for any kind of group project, whether collaborators are physically copresent or geographically separated. -- Howard
"Online collaboration has become very popular in both education and business. We now have the ability to easily and freely share all file types using different cloud based platforms. People working collectively on a project or assignment no longer need to be in the same room or even in the same country for that matter. Collaborative platforms have enabled educators to create online learning environments where students can benefit from sharing ideas and communicating with each other, their mentors and external organizations." Wow, Stephen Fry has an incredible brain. And he generously shares his thoughts from it, including all the secrets of life he's learned through watching American reality TV shows, Facebook, and "pretentious" conversations with his friends.
Dennis T OConnor's insight:
Interesting video with a tech heavy slant. Thought provoking to say the least!

By Henry Jenkins Howard Rheingold has been one of the smartest, most forward thinking, most provocative writers about digital culture for the past several decades. He’s someone who always makes me think. Even a short hall way chat with Howard at a conference can lead to transformative insights about how we live within a networked culture. I have been lucky to know him for more than two decades now, and I treasure every interaction I’ve ever had with the guy. Your progression from work on virtual communities to smart mobs to digital literacies says something about the evolution of digital culture over the past few decades. What has led you right now to focus so much on giving everyday people the skills they need to more meaningfully participate in the new media landscape? Delete the scoop?
