Nicely curated article Matt. I completely agree with you, this article gives a clear understanding about the relationship of SMO's and SEO's and the relevance within the market today. The article also talks more about the 7 stage model that is easy to comprehend and is explained in more detail. These stages are reputation, engagement, authority, leadership, thought leader social and optimization. All these stages in my opinion are relevant in the relationship between SEO's and SMO's and can help businesses within the market today.

It's an exciting time to be working in music, memory and neuroscience - not that a study of 9 people is going to stand up in court but like so many other studies in this area - we're beginning to get an idea what may be going on.  Lots of research out in the last few years about the efficacy of sleep and that's being reflected in lots of the performance blogs.

The 21 New Rules of Content Marketing [INFOGRAPHIC]

The 21 New Rules of Content Marketing [INFOGRAPHIC] | e-Development | Scoop.it

"In this new world of Internet marketing, it's not about being "optimized," but being "easy to find." That sounds like a subtle difference, but it couldn't be more profound.

One has to do with page tags, keywords, and trying to manipulate incoming links; the other is about generating interesting ideas, starting discussions, and being a prominent voice in your market or industry. It's the difference between screaming nonsense through a microphone and having journalists come to you for an expert opinion.

This infographic sets out the 21 NEW rules of content marketing that every modern marketer should know. If you want to maintain a high search engine ranking and use content to keep targeted buyers coming to you, this is information you can't afford to skip".
