On sait maintenant que les clients qui consomment le plus sont MULTI-CANAL : chaque cas est unique bien entendu en fonction de l’activité exercée mais en général, le client qui aura accès à votre produit/service à plusieurs endroits (site, boutique, application, etc.) en achètera plus.  En revanche, être sur tous les canaux, même ceux qui ne sont pas rentables, c’est encore pire que d’être mono-canal.

However this may have something to do with the fact that most local SEO knowledge, focus & discussion is based around Google, due to its dominance in the search market. No doubt that if Bing or Yahoo were to gain more market share then this would be reflected by a change in practices from local SEOs.

Google confirmed that the update started to roll out on July 24 for US English results, and it's not yet known when the update would roll out more widely in other countries and languages.

The aim of the update is to provide a more useful, relevant and accurate local search results. And unlike Penguin and Panda updates, this is not a penalty-based update(aimed at cleaning the SERPs from low-quality content), but a core change to the local search ranking algorithm.

How to Avoid & Solve SEO Client Conflicts For Local Search Consultants and Other Marketing Consultants   Ever have a client upset because they didn't get the results they think they deserve?

Of course you have, we all have!

There are many reasons for those conflicts too:

Your clients might feel that you don’t deliver to their expectations... Like in the example above, perhaps they expected to see results sooner. Or they had completely different expectations towards results they are going to get.

Their site might got penalised. Of course they will blame you for that, regardless of the actual reason...

But you could be the one to blame as well:

Perhaps you had a wrong attitude from the start. Maybe they are a small fish client and you don’t think of them as seriously as of your bigger clients. And, it shows.

You may have lost their trust. Perhaps you didn’t admit an obvious mistake or tried to hide something else from them but the truth came out.

Or perhaps you’ve broken some promises. After all, it’s so easy to say yes to those tiny requests clients make during sales meetings and then forget about them. 

The problem is, clients rarely forget. And the disappointment from not having this delivered may cause irritation and become a basis for conflicts.

On parle souvent de nos voisins européens ou des USA quand on regarde l'e-commerce à l’international. Mais quid de nos cousins canadiens? Je suis tombé sur cette infographie qui dresse les contours du e-commerce au Canada. En voici les principaux points.

Canada e-commerce en plein essor

Le volume des ventes e-commerce a été de 18,9 milliards de $ en 2012 soit une progression de 24% par rapport à 2010.

2014 s’annonce aussi sous de bonnes hospices, avec une progression attendue de près de 36% en 2 ans.

En comparaison avec les USA, le marché est plus petit certes mais grossit maintenant plus rapidement, signe de la maturité du secteur atteinte progressivement aux Etats-Unis
