[Infographic] Facebook Ad Performance by Industry

[Infographic] Facebook Ad Performance by Industry | DV8 Digital Marketing Tips and Insight | Scoop.it

Ever wonder if your Facebook ads are performing better or worse than the industry standard for ROI – searching for some Facebook benchmarking data? What is the average CPM, CTR, CPC, the average cost per like, or average page like rate for your industry or business?

This graphic is based on data from Social.com’s study of 1 million ad units and over 114 billion impressions from January 1st to March 31st, 2013. The report analyzed the top 25 countries globally and top five countries per region based on impressions. All rates were converted to U.S. dollars using the average daily conversion rates during the reporting period.

You can use this data in many different ways – one of which is determining ROI of your Facebook Campaign to determine if social media is worth the ROI for your business.

How your ads rank on Facebook could have countless other reasons why it performs better or worse, ie - timing, image quality, messaging, target market, etc. Test on a relative basis with multiple ads.

Why Brands Must Embrace Visual Social Media in 2013 [infographics]

Why Brands Must Embrace Visual Social Media in 2013 [infographics] | DV8 Digital Marketing Tips and Insight | Scoop.it

Two infographics provide data and tips to explain why brands must leverage visual social media in 2013 to stay relevant and grow.

Today, the marketing world is still hot on the social media marketing trail, but the trail has diverged. There are different paths with cheerleaders along the way no matter which path a marketer follows.

Ideally, marketers should find the path down the middle that marries all of the elements of social media marketing, but most are not there yet. Many of today’s marketers are still choosing a single path to focus on or jumping back and forth.

For example, those paths include the data and metrics focus, the storytelling focus, the visual focus, and more. This article hones in on the visual focus with the help of two great infographics that visually share the data and tell the story of visual storytelling...

The 5 Types of Social Followers that Every Business Needs [INFOGRAPHIC]

The 5 Types of Social Followers that Every Business Needs [INFOGRAPHIC] | DV8 Digital Marketing Tips and Insight | Scoop.it

When you’re a brand establishing yourself on social platforms such as Twitter and Facebook, in the very early days you’re usually less concerned about who is following you and more about how many...

It’s superficial, of course, but large numbers of followers on Twitter and Likes on your Facebook Page do have provide a level of social proof that makes you more attractive to new followers, and new Likes – when someone sees that you’re already popular, they’re far more likely to make the leap and get on board themselves.

But for businesses looking to maximize the ROI of their social media strategy, how many is always far, far less important than who. Pretty soon you realise that a big number is meaningless unless it’s actually converting into brand awareness, website footfall and sales – so who should you be looking to attract?

Early adopters, social sharers and power-users are all pivotal in helping your brand reach critical max, but they’re not alone. Indeed, lurkers and even haters can become powerful influencers if you take the time to engage and inspire them.

This infographic takes a look at the five types of social follower that every business needs...

Interesting the part about 'How are shoppers using their Smartphones?'- I have done every single one of those things. Also things like customer reviews on social websites- I definately will post on Facebook Business pages if I really like, or dislike a product. It really is important to be able to connect with your customer, especially for things such as products that are below a persons expectations. Social Media makes it so much easier to get it sorted out faster and in the public eye, which shows the brand in a poitive light.

Different Social Networks: personal vs. professional use [INFOGRAPHIC] | DV8 Digital Marketing Tips and Insight | Scoop.it

The Mindset Divide – how people use different social networks is extremely interesting. In this infographic, we compare the use of personal and professional networks, and gain knowledge as to what some of the key differences are between how people engage, interact and use social media, whether for personal or business purposes.

A few key takeaways:

The emotions portrayed on personal networks include nostalgia, having fun and distraction – professional networks are concentrated on achievement, aspiration and success. People spend time on personal networks, where-as they invest time on professional networks. People use personal networks to socialise, whereas professional networks are used to search for career opportunities and stay in touch. Users expect personal updates on personal networks, and more career-based and current affairs updates on professional networks.

The Challenge of Getting Visibility on Facebook [infographic] | DV8 Digital Marketing Tips and Insight | Scoop.it

Many face the challenge of getting visibility on Facebook in the newsfeed, especially for business pages.  And, maybe that’s why I’m hearing more and more people talking about moving over to Google+.

It’s estimated that only about 10% of the people who follow your Facebook page, actually see your content. So you’re left to spend an unreal amount of time posting pictures, videos, polls and links in the hope that your followers will see and engage with your content. Or, you can advertise your content with promoted posts and offers in an attempt to get attention in the newsfeed.

Ranking the 100 Most InDemand Employers Using LinkedIn Data [INFOGRAPHIC]

Ranking the 100 Most InDemand Employers Using LinkedIn Data [INFOGRAPHIC] | DV8 Digital Marketing Tips and Insight | Scoop.it

Whether it’s a tech start-up or a prestigious global accounting firm, some employers are more desirable than others. For companies, this affects how easily they can recruit; for employees, it’s tied to your professional reputation.

Using an extensive professional data set, LinkedIn identified which companies are most attractive to potential candidates in this infographic of LinkedIn’s Most InDemand Employers.

What makes these rankings unique is that they’re based on the actual actions of over 175 million professionals. Last year, LinkedIn had over 15 billion interactions between professionals & companies. That data was cross-referenced with thousands of survey responses to pinpoint specific activities that best indicate familiarity and interest in working for a company: connecting with employees, viewing profiles, visiting Company Pages, and following companies. After crunching this data and normalizing for things like company size, the top 100 global list was created. Then LinkedIn profile data was applied to rank the most sought-after employers among professionals in five countries and four job functions.
